摘要
在苏北平原的一些拗陷内,堆积有巨厚的中、新生代沉积,其中,下第三系层序自下而上为:古新统的泰州组,古新统一始新统的阜宁群(又分为一、二、三、四等四段),渐新统下部的戴南组和渐新统上部的三垛组(表1)。过去,大多认为苏北下第三系各层全属陆相沉积(河、湖相)。
From field and laboratory studies on the outcrops and cores of the middle and upper part of Funing Group(Lower Paleogene),in Jinhu Depression,North Jiangsu Plain,paleontological,mineralogical and geochemical evidences have been found to indicate that the depression had been inundated by sea from the east during early Paleogene time,but the sea water was freshened by land drainages.The depression was then so situated that an environment transitional between terrigeneous and shallow marine facies prevailed,and it was at the apex of an fairly widespread ancient estuary which had extended across the so-called Fujian-Lingnan folded zone into the Yellow Sea and parts of North Jiangsu Plain.
