摘要
本文试图根据已出版的文献和一些同事们的手头资料(图1)进行分析、研究,提出我们对青藏高原的大地构造特征和板块活动轮廓的一些初步设想。川西和滇西在地质上是青藏高原的东南延伸部分,其发展历史是不可分割的一个整体。因此,在这里把两大地区加以统一考虑,换句话说,我们试图分析整个特提斯喜马拉雅构造域的发展史,提出一些初步看法。
The Tethys-Himalayan Tectonic Domain includes all regions to the south of the Variscan Kunlun foldbelt,west of the Yangtze Paraplatform and north of the Indian Shield Basing upon abundant geological and geophysical data obtained in recent years we subdivide the Tectonic Domain into the following tectonic regions separated from each other by plate suture zones:Kunlun Foldbelt.Xiugou Maxin-Suture Zone(XM).Hoh Xil-Bayan Har Tectonic Region(KB).Longmuco-Yushu(LY)-Jinshajiang Tengtiaohe Suture Zone(JT)with Garze-Litang(GL)Suture Zone as its eastern bifurcation between them there occurs the Shaluli Tectonic Belt(SL).Tanggula Tectonic Region(TR)and its south-eastern extension,the Yunling-Wuliangshan Tectonic Region(YW).Bangongco-Dengqen Suture Zone(BD)and its south-eastern extension——the Cha-ngning-Shuangjiang Suture Zone(CS).The Nujiang Suture Zone is the southern extension of(BD)——Between the latter and(CS)is the Baoshan-Shanbang Tectonic Region(BS).Lhasa-Coqen Tectonic Region(LC)and its southern extension,The Zayu-Tengchong Tectonic Region(CT).Indus-(Yarlung)Zangbojiang Suture Zone(IT)and its southern extension,the Arakan Suture Zone Himalayan Tectonic Region(HR).Indian Shield.The Longmuco-Yushu-Jinshajiang-Changning-Shuangjiang Suture Zone represents the Paleo-Tethys Ocean.All tectonic regions south of this line formed,together with the Indian Shield,parts of Gondwanaland,which were situated near the Antarctic Region in Paleozoic times.They drifted northwards in late Carboniferous time,crossed the equator in Early Permian,and finally collided with the Hoh Xil-Bayan Har Region near the end of Permian.In Late Triassic or Indosinian time,rifting occurred along the Indus-Yarlungzangbojing line,thereafter the Himalayan Region together with the Indian Shield drifted southwards with the formation of a wide Mesotethys Ocean.Later,in Jurassic time,rifting and southward drifting occurred along the Bangongco-Dengqen line,with the formation of another smaller Mesotethys,which was closed again in late Jurassic time.In Cretaceous,esp.in late Cretaceous time,the Indian Shield with the Himalayan Tectonic Region drifted rapidly northwards and finally collided with the Lhasa-Coqen and Zayu-Tengchong Tectonic Regions,giving rise to the formation of the Tibet-Qinghai Plateau.The paper briefly discusses the Great Tethys and Small Tethys hypotheses,and suggests an accordion type of movement for the plate motions of the Tethys-Himalayan Tectonic Domain.
