摘要
作为后发国家,中国的现代化进程与城市化进程相伴相生。进入新世纪,这种进程加速前进,极大地影响着中国城市小说创作,促使新世纪中国城市小说在现代性和时空书写方面出现了一些新变化,也昭示着未来中国城市小说发展的某些可能。新世纪中国城市小说在现代性方面的新变主要表现为中西古今兼备特质、“流动性”和“碎片化”特点与“暂坐”和“废都”色彩。新世纪中国城市小说在时空书写方面的新变主要体现为讲述特定区域发生的特定故事以探讨人与所在之城关系、着墨城镇故事以探讨中国城市化过程的混杂性、以参差对照和漫长性来彰显城市时间和以个体时间的单调和整体时间的丰富来表达时间和空间的辩证转换。在此情势之下,未来中国城市小说将在古今同构、虚实并置和雅俗荟萃方面彰显出发展的可能和活力。
As a late-developing country,China’s modernization process has been closely intertwined with its urbanization.Entering the new century,this process accelerated,exerting a significant influence on the creation of Chinese urban novels.It has brought about new changes in the depiction of modernity and spatio-temporal in Chinese urban novels in the new century,and also indicates some potential directions for the future development of Chinese urban novels.The new changes in the modernity of Chinese urban novels in the new century are mainly manifested in the characteristics of integrating Chinese and Western,ancient and modern elements,the features of“fluidity”and“fragmentation”,and the colors of“temporary sojourn”and“decadent metropolis”.The new changes in the spatio-temporal depiction of Chinese urban novels in the new century are mainly reflected in narrating specific stories that occur in specific regions to explore the relationship between people and their cities,focusing on the stories of towns to explore the complexity of China’s urbanization process,highlighting urban time through contrast and duration,and expressing the dialectical transformation of time and space through the monotony of individual time and the richness of collective time.Under such circumstances,Chinese urban novels will demonstrate the potential and vitality of development in the future through the isomorphism of the past and the present,the juxtaposition of reality and fiction,and the convergence of elegance and vulgarity.
