摘要
外语教材蕴含的文化要素影响学习者个体的语言社会化过程。高校外语教材文化呈现相关研究偏少且以英语教材为主。本研究选取英、日、法三套教材为研究对象,以张虹(2022)英语教材文化呈现分析框架为参考,采用质性分析和量性分析相结合的方法,对三套教材的文化呈现内容、呈现强度、呈现方式等进行了研究。研究发现教材内容涉及多种地域文化,均以目标语文化为主导;文化形式融入多种多样,以文化产品为主导;英、日教材中文化呈现方式以显性为主,法语教材反之等。研究结论可为多语种教材分析、教材编写与建设提供可行性建议。
The cultural elements embedded in foreign language textbooks affect the language socialization process of individual learners.There are few studies on the cultural presentation of college foreign language textbooks,and English textbooks are the main ones.This study selected three sets of English,Japanese and French textbooks as the research objects,and using Zhang Hong’s(2022)Framework for Analyzing the Presentation of Cultures in English Textbooks as a reference and a combination of qualitative and quantitative analyses.Thus,the content,intensity and form of cultural presentation of the three sets of textbooks were investigated.This study found that the content of the textbooks involves multiple regional cultures,dominated by the target language culture;the cultural forms are incorporated in a variety of ways,dominated by cultural products;and the mode of cultural presentation is dominated by explicitness in the English and Japanese textbooks,and vice versa in the French textbooks and so on.The conclusions of the study can provide feasible suggestions for the analysis,development and construction of multilingual language textbooks.
