摘要
The paper aims to address the recent popular speculation about the rationale behind the collective rise of the Global South.By using a host of first-hand resources of newspapers and popular publications on the germination of the strong affinity between the Chinese people and people in other Asian and African countries around the time of the Bandung Conference and since,as well as second-hand resources about the ongoing official and people-to-people exchanges within and between Asia and Africa,the author argues that all the findings indicate that the continuation of the Bandung Spirit has been essential in connecting the two continents.The Bandung Spirit has shown the power of affinity and aspiration,and has an underlying logic that is totally different from realpolitik.
