Member of the German National Academy of Science and Engineering(acatech),the Saxon Academy of Sciences(SAW)and the Academy for Spatial Development(ARL).Since September 2023,he has served as a distinguished Professor at China University of Mining and Technology(CUMT),where he works in the Department of Urban and Rural Planning at the School of Architecture and Design.His research has long focused on urban and regional sustainable development,spatial planning,and ecological transformation.
