实测计算表明,4-6月,珠穆朗玛峰(以下简称珠峰)对于大气的感热输送远大于珠峰南北坡的降水凝结潜热释放,7月相反,凝结潜热释放较大。4-7月,珠峰以500卡/厘米^(2)·日左右的热量加热大气,使珠峰及其周围的大气温度场具有异常特殊的分布;4-5月,这种加热作用使得南支西风急流在珠峰上空的中心高度比南北两侧都要低1-2公里,大风下传,严重威胁登山活动。
Meteorological exploration of Mount Jolmo Lungma shows that in spring the sensible heat heating of Mount Jolmo Lungma and its neighbourhood is greater than that of the latent heat,but during summer the two heating effects are nearly of the same order in magnitude.Owing to this heating effect,the temperature of the Mount Jolmo Lungma region at 300 mb within 600 km downwind is about 1-3℃higher than that within 600 km upwind.At the same time,the meridional temperature gradient to the north of Mount Jolmo Lungma increases remarkably,thus the height of the southern branch of the westerly jet over Mount Jolmo Lungma is lower by about 1-2 km than that of the jet stream to the north and south of the Himalayas.
