摘要
六十年代以来,许多学者对东海进行了海洋地质方面的研究,其中有些对矿物特征作了一般性的阐述。本文对东海230个表层样品的矿物组合进行了较为系统的研究。工作范围为:东经121°-129°,北纬26°30′-32°00′。
The results of our study show that there are a total of 54 minerals in the sediment samples analyzed.The area investigated may be divided into 4 mineral regions on the basis of the heavy and light minerals it contains:1.the western mineral region of muscovite and dolomite;2.the Hupi reef mineral region of olivine;3.the mouth of the Yangtze River and the middle mineral region of staurolite,kyanite,and andalustite;and 4.the Okinawa Trough mineral region of volcanic glass and pyroxene.The sediments west of the western slope of the Okinawa Trough are mainly derived from the Yangtze River and those east of the slope are contributed by oceanic volcanoes and the eastern islands.
