Objective:To explore the effect of multi-sensory support model based on perception theory in COPD patients with type II respiratory failure. Methods:A total of 87 patients admitted to the respiratory ICU of a grade A tertiary general hospital in Tianjin from July 2023 to April 2024 were selected by convenience sampling method and divided into control group(n=43)and experimental group(n=44).The control group received routine nursing model. The experimental group adopted multi-sensory support model on the basis of routine nursing.Sleep quality, cognitive function, incidence of delirium and blood gas analysis were compared before and after intervention between two groups. Results:After intervention,Richards Campbell sleep scale score and cognitive function score of experimental group were significantly higher than those of control group(P<0.05).The incidence of delirium, delirium duration and the PCO_(2) in experimental group were significantly lower than those in control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of multi-sensory support model based on perception theory in COPD patients with typeⅡrespiratory failure has good effects, which can effectively optimize the sleep structure of patients, reduce the incidence and duration of delirium, improve the cognitive status of patients.
