"Implicit Communication"constitutes a distinctive communicative representation and discursive wisdom cultivated through millennia of Chinese relational practice. This study first traces the philosophical and cultural-spiritual foundations of implicit communication within China's classical cultural genealogy.Subsequently,it examines diverse manifestations of implicit communicative scenarios across various contexts.Ultimately, through the lens of communication semiotics and supported by historical-textual evidence, the paper elucidates the fundamental signification model of implicit communication:The sender intentionally embeds"redundant texts"and"empty texts"into the communicative act, initially creating interpretive indeterminacy for the receiver. However,"redundant texts"and"empty texts"embed implicit thought and spirit as cultural meta-language and trigger textual self-reflexivity,enabling the gradual emergence of latent meanings-a semiotic spiral wherein the receiver's initially obstructed interpretation begins to ascend. This dynamic culminates in a"triadic convergence of meaning"across intentional, textual, and interpretive dimensions, generating a cascading semiotic flow that shapes the subject's distinctive experience of implicit communication.By investigating this unique"meaning beyond words"communicative mechanism, this study simultaneously proposes epistemological pathways for constructing an independent theoretical framework within communication studies.
