摘要
《心是孤独的猎手》是20世纪美国南方女作家卡森·麦卡勒斯的处女作和代表作。小说主要围绕主人公辛格(聋哑人)和其四个朋友展开各种情结的书写。文章从朱迪斯·赫尔曼的创伤理论视角出发,分析《心是孤独的猎手》中主要人物受创后自我防御系统瓦解表现出的过度警觉、记忆侵扰和禁闭畏缩症状。同时也对人物身上表现出的歇斯底里症状进行了深入探析。通过研究发现,不同人物所表现的创伤症状影响了自身的身心发展和正常生活,但是他们都积极寻求治疗手段,缓解创伤症状,适应社会生存。
The Heart is a Lonely Hunter is the first novel and representative work of Carson McCullers,a famous American southern woman writer in the 20th century.The novel mainly revolves around the protagonist Singh(a deaf mute)and his four friends to develop various complex writing.From the perspective of Judith Herman’s trauma theory,this paper analyzes the symptoms of hyperarousal,intrusion and constriction of the main characters in The Heart is a Lonely Hunter,which shows the collapse of the selfdefense system after trauma.At the same time,it also makes an in-depth analysis of the hysterical symptoms displayed on the characters.Through the study,it is found that the trauma symptoms of different characters affect their physical and mental development and normal life,but they all actively seek treatment,relieve the trauma symptoms,and actively adapt to social survival.
