摘要
近代以来,中国面临着严峻的边疆危机。民国时期,在传统史学“经世致用”思想的影响下,从事边疆史地学研究的学者,尤其是“禹贡学派”,不仅发表了大量有关疆域历史沿革和建制变迁的论述,还有许多边疆民族历史文化考察的学术成果;与此同时,“西学东渐”和社会剧变,促使人类学、民族学、社会学的学者投身边疆民族地区的社会调查。由于学术范式的不同,“南派”“北派”及后来的“华西学派”基于不同学术倾向对边疆地区民族的社会结构、习俗文化、族际互动等内容进行了深入阐释。随着抗战爆发,立足相关政治议题的“边政学”产生,其中《边政公论》发表了一些边政学视域下的边疆问题研究的成果。目前,学术界呼吁构筑“中国边疆学”三大体系。民国时期多学科的边疆研究给予我们理论指导思想、多学科研究方法和具体学术脉络发展等方面的启示。
Since modern times,China has faced critical frontier crises.During the Republica of China period,influenced by the traditional historiographical principle of"applying scholarship to statecraft",scholars engaged in frontier historical geography-particularly the"Yugong School"-produced not only extensive works on territorial evolution and administrative transformations but also significant research on the history and culture of frontier ethnic groups.Concurrently,the influx of Western learning and profound social changes prompted anthropologists,ethnologists,and sociologists to conduct fieldwork in frontier ethnic regions.Divergent academic paradigms led the"Southern School","Northern School",and later the"West China School"to offer distinct interpre-tations of frontier societies,analyzing social structures,customary practices,and interethnic interactions.The outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War spurred the emergence of"frontier administration studies",with journals like Frontier Administration Review publishing policy-oriented research on frontier issues.Today,academia calls for constructing the"three major systems"of China′s frontier studies.Thus,the multidisciplinary frontier research of the Republica of China period provides valuable insights regarding theoretical frameworks,interdisciplinary methodologies,and the development of academic lineages.
