摘要
企业数字化程度的分化导致企业间数字鸿沟日益扩大,成为阻碍中国数字经济进一步发展的重要因素。制度型开放作为打造高水平对外开放格局、推动双循环发展的重要手段,能否发挥破局性作用,成为有待深入探讨与研究的重要课题。基于自贸区设立这一外生事件,采用多时点双重差分模型考察制度型开放对企业间数字鸿沟的影响和机制。研究发现:自贸区设立显著降低企业与同地区数字化领先企业之间的数字化距离,有效弥合了企业间的数字鸿沟;自贸区设立更有效地促进了数字化落后企业的技术进步、有效地缓解了数字化落后企业的融资约束、强化了数字化领先企业的示范和溢出效应;自贸区设立对非国有企业、年轻企业、高技术产业企业的数字化追赶有更强的促进作用。以上结论为政府借助制度型开放弥合企业数字鸿沟、推动数字经济持续稳定发展提供了参考。
The divergence in the degree of enterprise digitalization has led to an increasingly widening digital divide among enterprises,which has become animportant factor hindering the further development of China’s digital economy.As an important means of creating a high-level opening-up pattern and promoting the dual-circulation development,whether institutional opening-up can play a breakthrough role in resolving this dilemma has become an important topic that needs in-depth discussion and research.Based on the exogenous event of the establishment of free trade zones,this paper uses a multi-period difference-in-differences(DID)model to examine the impact and mechanism of institutional opening-up on the digital divide among enterprises.The research findings are as follows:the establishment of free trade zones has significantly reduced the digital distance between enterprises and digital-leading enterprises in the same region,effectively bridging the digital divide among enterprises.The establishment of free trade zones more effectively promotes the technological progress,and alleviates the financing constraints of the digital-lagging enterprises while strengthens the demonstration and spillover effects of digital-leading enterprises.The establishment of free trade zones has a stronger promoting effect on the digital catch-up of non-state-owned enterprises,young enterprises,and enterprises in high-tech industries.The above conclusions provide references for the government to bridge the digital divide among enterprises and promote the sustained and stable development of the digital economy through institutional opening-up.
