In the context of contemporary education, primary school physical education(PE)should place greater emphasis on cultivating students'core competencies to meet the requirements for their comprehensive development.Moral education plays a significant role in promoting students'physical and mental health and shaping their good moral character.PE classes serve as an important avenue for integrating moral education. In the PE classroom, students should not only exercise their bodies and learn sports skills but also strengthen their moral cultivation. This paper, starting from the perspective of core competencies, delves into the connotation of moral education in primary school PE teaching and explores the innovative value of moral education integration. It also addresses the challenges faced in integrating moral education into primary school PE,such as vague teacher responsibilities, insufficient resource development, and lagging curriculum culture. The paper proposes targeted solutions.By renewing teachers'moral education concepts, strengthening physical training, fostering healthy lifestyles, integrating software and hardware resources, and incorporating moral elements into evaluation processes, the quality and effectiveness of moral education integration can be enhanced. These strategies provide valuable references for educational practice and help primary school PE teaching better fulfill the fundamental task of cultivating virtue in students.
