This article will focus on how highway bridge engineering technology can respond to the increasingly serious problem of vehicle overloading.The article first elaborates on the severe damage that vehicle overloading poses to the safety and lifespan of highway bridge structures,and then delves into the various application challenges and limitations faced by current engineering technology in addressing the overload issue.Based on this,the article proposes a series of practical strategies and measures,including but not limited to optimizing reinforcement techniques for bridge structures,improving bridge health monitoring systems,and updating and upgrading related maintenance and management processes.The implementation of these strategies aims to significantly enhance highway bridges'ability to cope with overloaded vehicles,thereby ensuring the safety of road traffic and the long-term stability of bridge structures.
