摘要
学习者对二语写作书面反馈的认知加工过程复杂多变,但现有研究缺少对注意力分配的关注。本研究通过眼动追踪技术和刺激回忆访谈等手段,探究学习者在加工二语写作教师书面反馈时的注意力分配特征。研究发现:1)相较于反馈形式,学习者在反馈焦点上分配的注意力更多,整体加工模式呈现非线性、往复式及多轮次的特征;2)反馈类型中,学习者对间接反馈的注意力分配最多,元语言反馈次之,直接反馈最少;3)反馈焦点中,逻辑反馈获得关注最多,内容反馈次之,形式反馈最少。方差分析显示,不同反馈类型的注意力分配差异不显著,但不同反馈焦点之间差异显著。上述结果得到认知负荷理论、注意假说、注意机制理论、自我调节学习理论的支持,对二语写作教学和反馈研究具有启示。
Learners'processing of written feedback on L2 writing involves complex and dynamic processes but studies on how learners allocate attention are still lacking.This study employed eyetracking technology and stimulated recalls to explore the features of attention allocation when learners process the teacher's written feedback on their L2 writings.The results indicated that(1)learners allocated more attention to feedback focus than to feedback type,taking on an overall nonlinear,recursive,and multi-phased processing pattern;(2)in terms of feedback type,learners allocated the most attention to indirect feedback and the least attention to direct feedback,with metalinguistic feedback in between;and(3)in terms of feedback focus,logical feedback received the most attention,followed by content feedback,with form feedback the least.Results of ANOVA tests showed that the differences in attention paid to different feedback types were not significant while those among different feedback foci were at significant levels.The findings of this study are supported by cognitive load theory,noticing hypothesis,attention mechanism theory,and selfregulated learning theory.They have strong implications for the teaching of L2 writing and feedback research in the L2 writing field.
