摘要
作为一位成熟的方志学者,夏仁虎主修《秦淮志》《玄武湖志》,编修《北京市志稿》等多部方志,对保存地方史料作出了很大贡献。而其为《续修四库全书总目提要(稿本)》撰写的上海、江苏、浙江三地两百多篇方志提要目前尚未有专门研究。通过将其所著提要分为宋元明方志和清代民国方志等类别,对著录体例、内容特点、学术思想等方面进行全面分析,可体会夏仁虎深厚的方志学功底,同时加深对上海、江苏、浙江三地旧方志的了解,为当代修志增加线索和资料。
Xia Renhu,a seasoned scholar in local gazetteer studies,served as chief compiler for the Annals of Qinhuai and the Annals of Xuanwu Lake,and contributed to the compilation of the Draft Gazetteer of Beijing,making significant contributions to the preservation of local historical records.However,his more than 200 annotated entries on the local gazetteers of Shanghai,Jiangsu,Zhejiang written for the Draft of the Annotated Catalogue of the Continuation of the Siku Quanshu remain largely unexamined.This study categorizes these entries into those concerning the Song,Yuan,Ming dynasties,and those from the Qing and Republican periods.Through a detailed analysis of their hibliog-aphic fomiat,content features,and undedying academic thoughts,the paper reveals Xia Renhu’s profound scholady foundation in local gazetteer studies,enhances understanding of historical gazetteers from the Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Shanghai region,and provides clues and references for contemporary gazetteer compilation.
