选择,是电子游戏的关键操作,也直指游戏伦理的根本难题。这首先涉及现实规则与游戏规则之间的复杂关系,后者或许并非只是前者的投射与镜像,而更是展现为秩序与混沌之间震荡的复杂系统,由此具有了极为浓厚的否定性意味。从艺术史的发展脉络可以更好地对此种意味进行引申理解,尤其是从波德莱尔的人造天堂向布列东的人造地狱的发展转变,更能够突显出电子游戏的那种介于创造与毁灭之间的含混性、反讽式形态。伦理与美学的连接,以及由此所导向的否定性伦理,就得以对目前既有的三种主流的游戏伦理立场(功利主义、义务论和美德伦理学)进行比较权衡。而《奇异人生》这样的杰作更是启示我们对游戏与日常生活之关联进行深入思考。
Choice is the core operation in video games and also touches upon the fundamental ethical dilemma in gaming.This involves the complex relationship between real-world rules and game rules-the latter not merely a reflection or projection of the former,but a volatile system oscillating between order and chaos,imbued with strong negativity.This negative potential can be further explored through the lens of art history,particularly in the transition from Baudelaire's"artificial paradise"to Breton's"artificial hell",which underscores the ambiguous and ironic nature of video games as suspended between creation and destruction.The connection between ethics and aesthetics,and the emergence of a negative ethics from this relationship,allows for a critical reevaluation of the three dominant approaches in current game ethics discourse:utilitarianism,deontology,and virtue ethics.Masterpieces like Life Is Strange further prompt deep reflection on the relationship between games and everyday life.
