摘要
《儒林外史》中的人物情态、关系、身份皆有真假之分。情态之真假常用不同人物、时期、氛围对比互衬而凸显,关系之真假则围绕利益与真情的失衡,呈现出真亦假、假中假、假如真三种复杂态势。通过对细微情态与复杂关系的品味,读者对作者极力塑造的人物真假身份洞若观火。但在小说故事里,众人却在身份迷局中徘徊不定,一部分人面临“假作真时真亦假”身份真假颠倒困境,而另一部分人处于真与假的灰色地带之中。
In The Scholars,the characters'behaviors,relationships,and identities are marked by a distinction between the real and the fake.The authenticity of their behaviors is often highlighted through contrasting characters,time periods,and atmospheres.As for their relationships,the imbalance between personal gain and genuine emotion leads to three complex states:real that appears fake,fake that appears real,and fake that is genuinely real.By exploring these subtle behaviors and intricate relationships,readers can easily discern the characters'real and false identities,as meticulously crafted by the author.However,within the narrative,the characters remain trapped in an identity maze.Some face the dilemma of“when the fake becomes real,the real is also fake,”while others dwell in the gray area between the real and the fake.
