摘要
中国大学的存在和发展,与国家和社会变迁密切相关,也长期处在近代以来中国和世界交织互动的历史进程中。既有研究中不乏超越大学内部乃至中国本土视野,将大学演进与中西关系脉络相结合的论述,或对大学中诸多事物跨越国界的流动和实践的探讨,但仍然存在有待深入发掘的空间。鉴于学术发展的趋向和研究对象的特征,有必要进一步扩展中国大学史的研究视野,从重视世界不同地区的关联和互动的全球史中汲取资源。在全球视野下开展中国大学史研究,有四个方面值得关注,包括重审全球化背景下西方大学模式及相关知识文化的本土化,探究本土文化以大学为通道传至西方乃至走向世界的过程,用关联的眼光考察大学中各种主体的跨文化经历,对不同国家和地区的大学及其中的现象进行横向比较等。作为对传统视角和方法的有益补充,全球视野将为中国大学史研究开辟新境。
The existence and development of China's universities are deeply intertwined with the transformations of the nation and society,and have long been in the historical process of the interaction between China and the world.Some existing research has transcended the internal dynamics of universities and the domestic context of China,linking the evolution of universities to the broader framework of Chinese-Western relations or investigating the transnational flow and practice of various factors within them.Nevertheless,there remains scope for deeper exploration.In view of the trend of academic development and the characteristics of the research object,it is necessary to further expand the perspective,namely draw resources from global history that attaches importance to the connections and interactions between different areas of the world.Four aspects are worthy of attention,including re-evaluating the localization of Western university model and related knowledge and culture in the context of globalization,tracing the dissemination of local culture to the West and beyond through universities,examining cross-cultural experiences of diverse factors within universities from an interrelated perspective,conducting comparative analyses of universities and phenomena across different countries and regions.As a complement to traditional perspectives and methodologies,the global perspective will open up new dimensions for historical research of China's universities.
