摘要
This letter addresses the study in recent publication in the World Journal of Diabetes.The study provides valuable insights and a comprehensive analysis of the effects of L-arginine(L-Arg)supplementation on cardiac health in diabetic rats,highlighting the potential risks associated with high doses of L-Arg.The findings suggest that while low doses of L-Arg may offer some benefits,higher doses can exacerbate myocardial injury through increased oxidative stress,in-flammation,and structural disruption.This finding challenges the prevailing point of L-Arg as a universally beneficial supplement and emphasizes the need for further research in its clinical application,particularly in diabetic patients.
