摘要
On August 7, 2022, a 58-year-old female patient presented with symptoms of lingual numbness approximately 40 minutes after the ingestion of some fresh Datura flowers. Two hours later, she developed confusion, slurred speech, hallucinations, and delirium. Following therapeutic interventions, including gastric lavage, hemoperfusion, and metabolic stimulation, the patient fully recovered and was discharged from the hospital. The report aims to document the diagnosis and treatment of a patient who presented with consciousness disturbance as the initial symptom of Datura flower poisoning. Our aim is to provide valuable insights and reference points for preventing similar poisoning cases in the future. In such cases, attention should be given to differential diagnosis, and symptomatic treatments, including gastric lavage, catharsis, antidotes, and hemoperfusion, should be administered promptly. Additionally, public education on poisonous plants should be reinforced to prevent similar incidents.
