摘要
平面类制作义动词具有[+动作施加于实体表面][+动作结果附着于二维平面]等语义特征,目前基于事件结构与构式语义的句型分类存在明显的局限与不足。文章根据平面制作行为所激活的一系列认知要素,揭示了“画”“刻”“绣”一类制作义动词的句法语义特点;并基于认知图景理论及其“新句式观”对该类动词所构成的各种句式进行了详细描写,同时指出句式差异及其原因所在。此外,还着眼于认知要素的激活与凸显从语篇层面对相关现象进行深度分析,根据汉、英、日跨语言比较结果提出了平面类制作义动词对外汉语教学的原则与重点。
Verbs meaning“making sth.on a flat surface”possess semantic features such as[+action applied to the surface of an entity]and[+result adhering to a two-dimensional plane].Currently,significant limitations and deficiencies exist in the classification of sentence pattern based on event structure and constructional semantics.This paper,based on a series of cognitive elements activated by flat-surface creation behaviors,reveals the syntactic and semantic characteristics of verbs like“huà(draw)”,“kè(carve)”and“xiù(embroider)”which mean“making sth.on a flat surface”.Based on the Cognitive Scene Theory and its“New Concept of Sentence Patterns”,the study also provides a detailed description of various sentence patterns formed by such verbs,and points out the differences among sentence patterns and their underlying reasons.Furthermore,an in-depth analysis of related phenomena is conducted at the discourse level,focusing on the activation and salience of cognitive elements,and principles and key points are proposed,based on cross-linguistic comparisons among Chinese,English,and Japanese,for the teaching of this category of verbs in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language.
