文化研究的路径与政治

Cultural Studies:Approaches and Political Dimensions

摘要 20世纪50-60年代以来,随着西方工业的快速发展,大众文化逐渐成为人们生活的重要组成部分,文化研究应运而生并发展为一门显学。本文从三个方面考察文化研究的发展脉络与当代意义:首先,追溯文化研究的理论起源,比较分析伯明翰学派和法兰克福学派主要观点的异同,指出这两个学派虽然代表不同的研究路径,但都将文化视为意识形态斗争的场所和社会干预的重要手段。其次,基于全球化的语境,探讨文化研究面临的新挑战,强调其不仅要重新激活政治性,而且还亟需超越西方中心主义视角,关注话语生产的语境化。最后,评述中国学者在文化研究领域的重要贡献,中国学者不仅成功地实现了文化研究的本土化,还有力地推动了文化研究的多元化。在当下,文化研究依然是一个充满活力的领域,为解读当下的文化景观和社会问题提供了重要的视角、方法与路径。 Since the 1950s-1960s,with the rapid development of industrial society,popular culture has become a crucial component of people’s lives in the West.In response,cultural studies emerged as a distinct academic field and gradually evolved into a prominent discipline.This paper examines the historical trajectory and contemporary significance of cultural studies through three key dimensions:First,it traces the origins of the discipline and compares the approaches of the Birmingham School and the Frankfurt School.Although these two schools represent different research traditions,both regard culture as a site of ideological struggle and a crucial means of social intervention.Second,within the context of globalization,it explores the new challenges confronting cultural studies.It must not only reclaim its political relevance but also transcend Western-centric frameworks by stressing the contextualization of discourse production.Finally,it discusses the significant contributions of Chinese scholars to this field.They have not only localized its theories and methodologies but also promoted its diversification.Today,cultural studies remains a vibrant field,offering valuable perspectives,tools,and methodologies for analyzing contemporary cultural phenomena and social issues.
