摘要
中国木版年画作为古老中华文化的一种传播符号,千百年来已形成一套独特的文化符号系统,重点从符号的四个基本功能对中国木版年画进行符号学解析。以题材为主干,按照树状层次模型分主类符号、亚类符号、基本类符号、单体符号和元素符号等五个层次,构建中国木版年画符号系统模型。在此模型基础上,进一步对大量木版年画作品进行文化元素细分和符号化分层梳理,最后初步构建起中国木版年画文化符号系统。
Chinese wood-block new year prints are ancient cultural symbols of Chinese heritage,which have developed into a unique cultural symbol system over centuries.This study analyzes the prints from the four basic functions of symbols based on semiotics.This paper,based on theme,structures the symbol system of Chinese wood-block new year prints into five hierarchical levels using a dendritic model:major category symbols,sub-category symbols,basic category symbols,individual symbols,and elemental symbols.Based on this model,the study further performs a detailed cultural element segmentation and symbolic stratification of a vast array of Chinese wood-block new year prints,ultimately establishing a preliminary cultural symbol system for these artworks.
