摘要
法国利摩日大学的韦斯特法尔教授所提出的“地理批评”是一种极具前沿性的空间批评理论体系。这一种理论体系融合了文学、地理学、哲学、社会学等多个学科的理论方法,通过探究表征世界与现实世界的互动关系来实现对空间的多元感知,为我们提供了一种“去中心化”的空间观念。此外,韦斯特法尔不仅未将视角局限在微观空间上,还将视角扩大到全球化背景下的宏观空间,为我们提供一种在现代性危机当中正确认知自身文化和身份的方式。通过对地理批评理论体系当中“空时性”“越界性”“指涉性”三大核心概念展开论述,希冀能从韦斯特法尔的“地理批评”这一批评范式当中得到更具有当代价值的空间、文化、身份认知角度。
Geocriticism,proposed by Professor Bertrand Westphal of the University of Limoges,is a highly cutting-edge theoretical framework of spatial criticism.It integrates methodologies from literature,geography,philosophy,and sociology to explore the interaction between the represented world and the real world,thereby offering a pluralistic perception of space and providing a“decentralized”spatial perspective.Westphal's approach is not limited to micro-level space;he also extends his vision to macro-level space within the context of globalization,offering a way to better understand one's own culture and identity in the midst of the crisis of modernity.This article focuses on the three core concepts within geocriticism—spatiotemporality,transgression,and referentiality—with the aim of uncovering contemporary insights into space,culture,and identity through Westphal's critical paradigm.
