摘要
宣扬儒家思想的李氏朝鲜王朝“盘索里”(说唱)小说《沈清传》,是在佛教故事《观音寺事迹》的基础上改编而来,因其包含浓厚的佛教色彩与儒家思想,故学者站在不同角度对其主题的看法亦不同。本文对比分析了《沈清传》及其原型《观音寺事迹》在人物身份、故事情节等方面的转变,揭示了转变发生的主要原因,即18世纪李朝崇儒抑佛以及自我意识觉醒的女性读者群参与文学活动。《沈清传》是由佛教故事脱胎而成,意在宣传儒家思想。《沈清传》作为成功借用佛教故事宣传儒家思想的文学典范,展现了李氏朝鲜王朝时期小说的动态变化,是18—19世纪朝鲜半岛文学史上的一朵奇葩,其价值不可忽视。
Biography of Shen Qing,a novel written in the Korean Joseon dynasty Pansori,which promotes Confucianism,is adapted from the Buddhist story The Story of Goddess of Mercy Temple.Because of its rich Buddhist and Confucian elements,scholars have differing views on its themes depending on their perspectives.By comparing and analyzing the transformations in character identities and plotlines between Biography of Shen Qing and The Story of Goddess of Mercy Temple,this study reveals that the primary reasons for these changes were the Korean Joseon dynasty’s policy of promoting Confucianism while suppressing Buddhism in the 18th century,and the participation of self-aware female readers in literary activities.This provides a clear perspective for the academic community:Biography of Shen Qing is a Confucian-promoting novel derived from a Buddhist story.As a successful literary example of using a Buddhist narrative to introduce Confucian thought,Biography of Shen Qing showcases the dynamic evolution of novels during the Korean Joseon dynasty and stands as a unique gem in the literary history of the Korean Peninsula from 18th to 19th century,and its value cannot be overlooked.
