摘要
《旧唐书》元稹与白居易传记虽独立于《文苑传》之外,但对元、白二人的身份定位与书写策略仍偏重文学。这一方面受制于当时可见史料的匮乏,另一方面也是官修正史在时代语境和文化氛围影响下的必然选择。《旧唐书》通过具有明显倾向性和选择性的叙写形式,将元稹塑造为凄凉苦痛而又轻靡浮艳的风流才子,而将白居易塑造为不以迁谪为意、闲适豁达的一代文宗,并大加推崇。这种通过文学叙事建构出的历史形象,从侧面反映出五代士人企图于感伤痛苦中寻求精神寄托的心理状态。
Although the biographies of Yuan Zhen and Bai Juyi in the Old Book of Tang are independent of the Biography of Scholars and Writers,the identity positioning and writing strategies for both Yuan and Bai still favor literature.This is partly due to the scarcity of historical materials available at that time and partly an inevitable choice for official historical records under the influence of the social context and cultural atmosphere of the time.The Old Book of Tang portrays Yuan Zhen as a sad and tormented,yet frivolous and gorgeous romantic talent,and Bai Juyi as a generation of literary giant who was not perturbed by banishment and exile,and who lived a leisurely and open-minded life,which it greatly admires.This historical image constructed through literary narrative reflects the psychological state of the scholars of the Five Dynasties,who sought spiritual sustenance amidst sorrow and pain.
