OBJECTIVE:This study aimed to explore the effectiveness of an athletic performance testing system in adolescent basketball players'physical training.METHOD:Sixty-six young basketball athletes were randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group.Exercise intensity was monitored using accelerometers, and athletes'maximal oxygen uptake(VO_(2)),vertical jump height,30-meter sprint speed, bench press strength, and squat strength were tested before and after a 12-week training intervention.RESULTS:(i)After 12 weeks, the experimental group exhibited significant improvements in VO_(2)and squat strength compared to baseline(P<0.01),while the control group showed no notable changes(P>0.05).(ii)The experimental group outperformed the control group in VO_(2),vertical jump height, sprint speed, bench press, and squat strength(P<0.05).(iii)The experimental group had a lower incidence of sports injuries(P<0.05).CONCLUSION:The study concludes that the athletic performance testing system effectively monitors and provides real-time data feedback on physical status, optimizes training content and load distribution, enhances training outcomes, and reduces injury risks over 12 weeks.
