摘要
在数字经济和实体经济深度融合的背景下,商业银行数字化转型对流动性创造的影响引起了广泛关注。论文基于2010—2021年中国227家商业银行非平衡面板数据,实证检验了商业银行数字化转型对流动性创造的影响效果及其作用机制。研究发现:第一,商业银行数字化转型显著促进了流动性创造,这一结论在内生性处理后依然成立。第二,机制分析表明,数字化转型主要通过提升商业银行的流动性创造能力和增强其流动性创造意愿来促进流动性创造。第三,异质性分析表明,对于规模较小、资本充足水平较低以及处于经济政策不确定性上升时期的商业银行,数字化转型对其流动性创造的促进效应更为显著。论文丰富了银行数字化转型经济后果和银行流动性创造影响因素的相关研究,对于推动银行数字化转型和促进银行通过流动性创造服务实体经济具有重要的启示意义。
In the context of the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy,the impact of the digital transformation of commercial banks on liquidity creation has attracted widespread attention.Based on unbalanced panel data of 227 commercial banks in China from 2010 to 2021,this paper empirically examines the effect of commercial banks'digital transformation on liquidity creation and its mechanism of action.It is found that,first,the digital transformation of commercial banks significantly promotes liquidity creation,and this finding still holds after endogeneity treatment.Second,the mechanism analysis shows that digital transformation promotes liquidity creation mainly by enhancing the liquidity creation capacity of commercial banks and increasing their liquidity creation willingness.Third,the heterogeneity analysis shows that the facilitating effect of digital transformation on liquidity creation is more significant for commercial banks that are smaller,have lower capital adequacy levels,and are in a period of rising economic policy uncertainty.This paper enriches the research related to the economic consequences of banks'digital transformation and the influencing factors of banks'liquidity creation,which is of great significance in promoting banks'digital transformation and facilitating banks to serve the real economy through liquidity creation.
