Blood stasis is an important pathogenic factor in the occurrence of depression and an important pathological product in the development of this disease.Blood stasis blocks the meridians and collaterals, the Qi of the Six Fu and the blood of the Five Zang cannot nourish the brain as well as the heart and spirit, resulting in abnormal thinking and emotion and the onset of the disease. Therefore, the diagnosis should be made by examining the syndrome and seeking the cause, and strive for accurate identification, using a combination of identification methods such as visceral identification, meridian identification, etc. The specific treatment is based on the principle that"tonifying the deficiency and remove the excess".For excess syndrome with heavy blood stasis,in addition to the clearing of excess Eevil Factors, activating blood circulation to remove blood stasis to facilitate the meridian,to remove stasis and to generate new blood. For the case of complex in etiology and long in duration, multiple methods are used to improve the therapeutic effect through methods of"empathy"and"reflection".In the process of diagnosis and treatment,by considering the cause of"stasis",identifying the changes of"stasis",and treating the patients from the theory of blood stasis, the clinical symptoms can be relieved and removed.
