摘要
英国作家查尔斯·狄更斯《双城记》独特的叙事策略成就了该小说世界名著的地位:一是全知全能的外视角建构了该历史小说的宏大叙事,体现了狄更斯仁爱的人道主义精神;二是大量圆形人物的出现,使得除了作者自始至终给予高度评价的扁平人物之外,还出现了一批可歌可泣的、个性鲜明的人物;三是地域空间叙事建构了宏大叙事之余,地域内部的空间刻画和重复的空间意象还加强了叙事的可读性和真实性,增强了该小说作为历史小说的可信性。
The unique narrative strategies of A Tale of Two Cities make it a masterpiece in the world.Firstly,the almighty out-focus constructs a grand narration of this historical novel,reflecting the benevolence and humanitarianism of Dickens.Secondly,a group of round characters present large numbers of one-of-a-kind characters that are impressed on readers,in addition to the flat characters that the writer spoke highly of.Thirdly,regional space narration helps create grand narration,while detailed environmental depiction inside and the repeated space images strengthen the readability and truthfulness of narration,hence increasing the credibility of the novel as a historical one.
