简帛整理,分卷问题比缀联问题更重要。上博楚简有一卷多种古书的丛钞,不但由不同的书手,正反面钞、分栏钞,前后还有其他简文,情况极为复杂。作者以这篇简文为例,说明简文整理应以竹简卷束的物质形态(长短宽窄、编绳契口和字体等)而不是以内容作分篇分卷的依据。
The collation of bamboo and silk manuscripts is more important than the reconstruction of fragments.The Shanghai Museum's Chu bamboo slips contain a collection of multiple ancient texts,which were not only copied by different scribes but also written on both sides,arranged in columns,and interspersed with other slip texts,making the situation extremely complex.Using this set of bamboo slips as an example,the author argues that the collation of bamboo slip texts should be based on the physical form of the bamboo slip bundles(length,width,binding holes,and script style)rather than the content as the basis for dividing chapters and volumes.
