摘要
Annular pancreas is a rare congenital anomaly formed by a thin band of pancreatic tissue that encircles the descending duodenum and leads to partial or complete obstruction.Annular pancreas is estimated to occur in less than 5/100,000 people;however, the true incidence is unknown given that annular pancreas is frequently asymptomatic and only an incidental finding on cross-sectional imaging or autopsy examination.1,2 When symptomatic, patients typically present with abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting,or postprandial fullness due to gastric outlet obstruction.3 Other and less common presentations include peptic ulcer disease, biliary obstruction,or symptoms of acute or chronic pancreatitis.
