Research hotspots and development process of VR/AR technology in the field of clothing

摘要 随着虚拟现实和增强现实技术的迅猛发展,其在服装领域的应用日益显著。本文借助文献计量软件CiteSpace梳理AR/VR技术在国内外服装领域的研究热点、发展脉络、前沿和趋势。研究结果表明,AR和VR技术在国内服装领域的研究热点主要集中在基础理论与内涵、虚拟服装的展示与应用,以及历史服饰文化遗产数字化复原等方面。国外该领域的研究更多关注深度学习与系统架构、计算机与图像处理技术的升级。未来,集成新兴技术和智能化应用,推动服装行业可持续发展和数智化转型将是中国服装领域的发展方向。 With rapid development,Virtual Reality(VR)and Augmented Reality(AR)technologies have witnessed their increasingly wide academic research and applications in the field of clothing.However,from the content of previous studies,few scholars have focused on the differences in research hotspots in this field at home and abroad.In terms of methods,subjective content interpretation was mainly adopted,while scientific measurement tools were rarely used in objective analysis.Given this,to conduct a more comprehensive comparative analysis of the research hotspots and the development process of AR/VR technology in the field of clothing at home and abroad,this paper chooses CiteSpace,a bibliometric software widely recognized in the academic circle,as a research tool for visual comparative analysis of the research hotspots of AR VR technology in the field of clothing at home and abroad since the 21 st century,objectively presenting the similarities and differences,frontiers,and development process of research hotspots,and providing new ideas and methods for the research of domestic virtual clothing.The Chinese data of the knowledge graph in this paper are sourced from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)database,and the English data are sourced from the Web of Science core collection database.The Chinese and English databases are searched with Virtual Reality,Augmented Reality and Clothing as the main subject terms.The time limit for both Chinese and English data is from 2001 to 2024.To improve the accuracy and scientificity of the data,the literature types are further manually selected as papers,and invalid literature with low relevance to the research topic,such as design works,conference papers,and reviews,is removed.After another precise search,265 Chinese papers and 240 English papers are obtained.The keyword co-occurrence and clustering algorithms of CiteSpace are used to analyze the research hotspot topics of VR AR technology in the clothing field at home and abroad since the 21 st century(2001-2024).At the same time,the burstness detection,timeline views of CiteSpace software,combined with factors such as national policies and market trends,are used to analyze the development context and future trends of AR VR technology in the clothing field at home and abroad.The results show that the research hotspots of AR VR technology in the field of clothing at home and abroad present multi-dimensional characteristics.In China,the research hotspots mainly lie in the theoretical studies of basic theories and connotations of AR VR,the display and application of virtual clothing,and the digital restoration of historical clothing cultural heritage;while in foreign countries,more attention has been paid to the deep learning and system architecture,and the upgrade of computer and image processing technologies.From the perspective of the development process,the research in this field at home and abroad both reflects phased characteristics.In the initial exploration phase(2001-2009),researchers at home and abroad mainly focused on the optimization and upgrading of virtual clothing production technologies,such as the modelling of human bodies and clothing.With the development of technology and changes in market demand,in the development and market application phase(2010-2019),domestic research began to focus on the combination of technology and market application,such as somatosensory interaction and clothing marketing;while foreign research was more dedicated to the upgrade and expansion of virtual try-on technologies.Since 2020,in the phase of intelligent technology integration and application expansion,the research hotspots in this field at home and abroad have been further diversified,covering multiple fields such as business,cultural inheritance,and social value,while integrating the application of deep learning and artificial intelligence technologies.Facing the new situation of technological progress,digital and intelligent upgrades are urgently needed for the R&D,design and manufacturing production systems of the textile and clothing industry.In the future,integrating emerging technologies and intelligent applications to promote its sustainable development,and digital and intelligent transformation will be the development direction of the clothing field in China.
