摘要
城市更新是对城市中陈旧、功能退化或环境恶劣的区域进行重建、改造和提升,以实现城市空间结构优化、功能升级和环境改善的过程。本文展示了伦敦近二十年来最大规模的城市更新项目--国王十字地区的重建计划,公共艺术在此过程中发挥的四个方面的重要作用,探讨了这些艺术干预如何有助于激活城市空间、增强社会参与和提升文化价值等,为城市更新带来积极作用。
Urban renewal is the process of rebuilding,transforming,and upgrading areas in cities that are outdated,functionally degraded,or have poor environments,in order to optimize urban spatial structure,upgrade functions,and improve the environment.This article showcases the four key roles that public art has played in the largest urban renewal project in London in the past two decades-the King's Cross Masterplan.It explores how these artistic interventions help to activate urban spaces,enhance social participation,and elevate cultural value,bringing positive effects to urban renewal.
