摘要
中英茶文化由于其历史发展、文化内涵等的不同而存在很大的差异。在跨文化的交际过程中,翻译承担着重要的角色,但在处理语言和文化层面时,会碰到很多困难而造成不可译。本文借助认知语言学的隐喻认知相似性理论提出在不同的情况下采取如直译与意译、归化和异化、动态功能对等策略处理不同的问题,使中英茶文化得以被目的语读者理解和接受,更好地传播中国的文化。
There are great differences between Chinese and English tea culture due to their historical development and different cultural connotations which are barriers to cross-cultural communication.Based on the theory of metaphorical cognitive similarity,this paper proposes that the strategies of literal translation and free translation,domestication and foreignization,and dynamic functional equivalence should be adopted in different situations to deal with different problems.
