In order to improve the comprehensive performance of emulsified asphalt used for highway maintenance and improve the construction efficiency of highway maintenance,a modification test was carried out on emulsified asphalt with water-based epoxy resin emulsion as the modifier, and an epoxy resin modified asphalt material suitable for highway maintenance construction was prepared. The focus was on investigating the effects of epoxy resin content on the aging performance, bonding performance, adhesion performance, and low-temperature splitting strength of emulsified asphalt. The results show that the addition of epoxy resin can effectively improve the basic performance of emulsified asphalt after aging under high temperature conditions, effectively reduce the penetration and ductility of emulsified asphalt, and increase the softening point of emulsified asphalt. In addition, the addition of epoxy resin can effectively improve the adhesive performance, adhesion performance, and low-temperature splitting performance of emulsified asphalt. With the gradual increase of epoxy resin content, the tensile strength, adhesion grade, and low-temperature spltting strength of emulsified asphalt show a gradually increasing trend. It is recommended that the optimal dosage of epoxy resin is 10%.The research results can provide some reference for the efficient modification of emulsified asphalt materials used in highway maintenance.
