Africa’s Threatened Rhinos.Decimated by relentless poaching for their highly coveted horns,subjected to large-scale slaughter by“sports”hunters throughout the 19th and early 20th centuries,and squeezed by the steady loss of their natural habitats,both black and white rhinos have been pushed perilously close to extinction.
