This review centers on the various methods employed to rejuvenate catalysts impaired by carbon deposits,delving into the principles and distinct features of prevalent regeneration methods,including combustion,chemical cleaning,and the use of ionic liquids.Additionally,it offers a comprehensive examination of how the regeneration process affects catalyst performance,with a particular focus on the integrity of surface active sites and crystal structures,thereby identifying the pivotal factors that influence successful regeneration.Drawing on these insights,the article outlines the emerging trends and potential avenues for future research in catalyst regeneration technology,underscoring the significance of rigorous investigation to advance the sustainable practices of the petroleum and chemical sectors.
