日记视域下清末民初中国近代历史教学体制变革

The Reform of Modern Chinese History Teaching System in the Late Qing Dynasty and Early Republic of China from the Perspective of Diaries

摘要 梳理和解读中国近代历史教学体制变革,要将其置于中国学术转型的大变局下加以考察。中国近代历史学科变革与社会变迁交相互动,历史教学体系建立与近代学术文化、政治和社会变迁存在复杂的关联。时人日记中保留了中国历史教学建构的复杂面向和鲜活细节。京师大学堂在课程内容设置、教师选聘、教材建设、教学方式等方面发生变化,以满足中国历史学科教学体系化的需要。地方学堂教育变革主要以皮锡瑞为例,注重解读他对学堂教育宗旨、教学思想和教材建设等方面所提出的有价值的见解。由于晚清政府在教育改革上设计的指导方针不够全面,再加上骤然废除科举带来了诸多失序的困境,引起时人对教育变革的强烈批评。历史学科教学体制建构有其自身内在的逻辑和脉络。如何建构中国近代历史学科教学体系,是考验官方和民间智慧的大事。 To sort out and interpret the reform of the teaching system of modern Chinese history,it is necessary to examine it in the context of the great changes in Chinese academic transformation.The transformation of the discipline of modern Chinese history interacts with social changes,and the establishment of a history teaching system is intricately linked to modern academic,cultural,political,and social changes.The diaries of contemporary scholars preserve the complex aspects and vivid details of the construction of Chinese history teaching.Imperial University of Peking has undergone changes in curriculum content,teacher selection,textbook construction,and teaching methods to meet the needs of systematizing the teaching of Chinese history.The reform of local school education mainly takes Pi Xirui as an example,focusing on interpreting his valuable insights into the purpose of school education,teaching ideas,and textbook construction.Due to the incomplete guidelines designed by the late Qing government in education reform,coupled with the sudden abolishment of the imperial examination system,many disorderly difficulties were brought about,which led to strong criticism of education reform by the people at that time.The construction of the teaching system for history has its own inherent logic and context.How to construct the teaching system for modern Chinese history is a major test of the wisdom of both the government and the people.
