摘要
In China pediatric liver transplantation(PLT)has become a safe and standardized procedure.Innovations and measures to further improve long-term survival and quality of life for children should be the next focus.In particular better strategies related to the surgical treatment of high-risk recipients as well as the long-term follow-up of pediatric liver recipients have to be addressed.A particular attention should be given to children presenting significant co-morbidities and those needing retransplantation.A tight mul-tidisciplinary follow-up system addressing both short-and long-term issues of pediatric liver recipients is still a challenge for the Chinese pediatric transplant community.
