摘要
“性命”这一语词在战国中期已经成为儒道二家专论的主题,但是相对于已备受方家关注与阐释的儒家“性命”观念,由道家所开创的“性命”观念却由于其复杂的语文问题并没有得到很好的阐释。本文试图通过对文本的分析,揭示作为成词使用的“性命”是对道家“自然”观念的心性术语表达。其次,本文将指出,“性”“命”在《庄子》文本中又存在各自作为独立概念使用的情况,二者在心性论的语境下都呈现出形上与形下的思想层次,且具有不同的理论含义。最后,借由这种思想方法得出的结论,重新检讨与反省“性命”这一语词涉及的语文学问题。
‘Xing’and‘Ming’have been important topics held by Confucianism and Taoism since the middle period of warring states period.Compared with the heated discussion of‘Xing’and‘Ming’in Confucian context,however,these terms in Taoism context have been overlooked to some extent because of their complex philological situation.Firstly,this paper wants to point out that the concept,‘XingMing’,is the further understanding of‘Nature’of human-being in Mind-Nature context.Secondly,it will reveal the different levels of thinking in those terms and point out the theoretical meaning of their connection in this difference by means of analyzing context.Finally,the conclusion from this method will be applied into the reflection of philological problems posed by those terms.
