摘要
20世纪60年代,西方计算机技术成熟以后,迅速被应用到文字处理领域。20世纪70年代末至80年代初,国内曾引进英国蒙纳公司的技术和设备,但中文照排面临输入输出难题,英国工程技术人员因为不懂中文、不了解中文排版特点和要求,难以解决这些问题。因此,王选带领汉字信息化创新团队走上自主研发汉字激光照排系统的道路,与英国蒙纳公司开展了艰巨的研发竞争,在这一竞争过程中形成了有历史意义的多个汉字激光照排代表性版本。而第一本汉字激光照排本,因研发团队、排版系统和排版内容的不同,有报纸样张、样书、出版物等之辨。
In the 1960s,after the maturity of Western computer technology,it quickly spread to the field of word processing.In the late 1970s and early 1980s,China introduced technology and equipment from Monotype Imaging Inc.However,Chinese typesetting still faced input and output problems,British engineers were unable to solve these problems due to their lack of understanding of Chinese,the characteristics and requirements of Chinese typesetting.Therefore,Wang Xuan led the Chinese character informatization innovation team to embark on the path of independently developing Chinese character laser typesetting systems,and engaged in arduous R&D competition with Monotype Imaging Inc.In this competition process,multiple representative versions with historical significance were formed.The first Chinese character laser typesetting edition,due to differences in R&D team,typesetting system and typesetting content,has distinctions between newspaper samples,sample books,publications,etc.
