摘要
妈祖民俗是妈祖文化的具体表现形式之一。妈祖信俗由祭祀仪式、民间习俗和故事传说三大系列组成,是集宗教仪式、地域民俗、视听表演于一体的群体性互动活动,而湄洲岛又居于妈祖文化地域空间的中心性地位。本文从传播学的角度,以田野调查为主要方法,研究和探讨湄洲岛妈祖民俗仪式活动背后的符号意义以及如何构建一个秩序性规范性、组织性的仪式活动,从集体记忆、社群身份阐释仪式符号在民俗活动中是如何塑造、维系一个共通的意义空间,从而形成群体认同和个人认同,增强凝聚力达到维系社群秩序稳定的目的。
Mazu folklore is one of the concrete manifestations of Mazu culture.The Mazu belief system consists of three main components:sacrificial rituals,folk customs,and legends.It is a collective interactive activity that integrates religious rituals,local customs,and audiovisual performances,with Meizhou island occupying a central position in the geographical space of Mazu culture.From the perspective of communication studies and using field research as the primary method,this paper explores the symbolic meanings behind Mazu folk ritual activities on Meizhou island and how a structured,normative,and organized ritual activity is constructed.It examines how ritual symbols in folklore activities shape and maintain a shared space of meaning through collective memory and community identity,thereby fostering group and individual identity,enhancing social cohesion,and contributing to the stability of community order.
