Thermal and Pavement Performance of Asphalt Mixture Modified with Diatomite/Polyethylene Glycol Composite Phase Change Material

摘要 南方炎热地区沥青路面易遭受高温病害,掺入相变材料可有效缓解这一问题。研究旨在探究硅藻土/聚乙二醇复合相变材料(DPCM)对沥青混合料的热性能及路用性能的影响。将不同剂量的DPCM以等体积替代细集料方式掺入AC-13型沥青混合料中对其进行改性处理,随后对改性沥青混合料的导热系数和热调节性能等热性能进行评估,最后进一步研究了DPCM改性沥青混合料在高温稳定性、低温抗裂性及水稳定性等路用性能的表现。结果表明,DPCM可以通过降低加热速率来调节沥青路面的温度,可实现2℃的降温效果。当DPCM用量低于60%时,沥青混合料的路用性能满足规范要求。然而随着DPCM用量的增加,DPCM对高温抗车辙性、低温抗裂性和水稳定性的不利影响逐渐显现。 Asphalt pavements in hot areas of the South are prone to high-temperature damage,and the incorporation of phase change materials(PCMs)can address this issue.However,the research on the impact of phase change materials on the thermal performance and road performance of asphalt mixture is still relatively small.The main purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of diatomite/polyethylene glycol composite phase change material(DPCM)on the thermal performance and road performance of asphalt mixture.DPCM was mixed into AC-13 asphalt mixture at different dosages and volumes instead of fine aggregate.Firstly,the thermal performance of DPCM-modified asphalt mixture was evaluated,including thermal conductivity and thermal regulation performance.Then,the high-temperature stability and low-temperature crack resistance,water stability of DPCM-modified asphalt mixture were studied.The results show that DPCM can regulate the temperature of asphalt pavement by reducing the heating rate,and a cooling effect of 2℃could be achieved.The road performance of asphalt mixture meets the requirements of the specification when the amount of DPCM is limited.However,with the increase of DPCM amount,the adverse effects of DPCM on high-temperature rutting resistance,low-temperature crack resistance and water stability gradually emerge.
