摘要
基于制造业“量”与“质”的双重视角,本文从理论和实证的角度考察智能制造对制造业高质量发展的影响及其区域差异,并探究科技创新在智能制造对制造业高质量发展影响中产生的中介效应,同时进一步探讨了这种中介效应存在的区域异质性。结果显示:(1)智能制造能够通过促进制造业“量质齐升”进而实现制造业高质量发展,且智能制造对制造业“量”的促进作用大于“质”。(2)智能制造对东中西部各区域制造业高质量发展均表现出促进作用,但其作用途径存在区域差异。其中,东部和西部地区智能制造对制造业高质量发展的提升作用主要通过推进制造业“量质齐升”,而中部地区则是通过促进制造业“量”的合理增长。(3)科技创新在智能制造对制造业高质量发展和制造业“量”的影响中存在部分中介效应,在“质”层面的中介效应不显著;分区域来看,科技创新在东中部地区“量”层面均具有部分中介效应,且在东部地区“质”层面具有完全中介效应,在中部地区“质”层面中介效应则不显著,而在西部地区“质”层面存在部分中介效应,在“量”层面中介效应则不显著。本文的研究结论为推进人工智能与制造业深度融合,进而推动制造业高质量发展提供了有益启示。
Since the reform and opening up 40 years ago,China has gradually become the worlds largest manufacturing country,already has a relatively strong scale advantage.However,China's manufacturing industry is generally"big but not strong",compared with the United States,Germany and Japan such as the worlds manufacturing power,the level of manufacturing technology is stil lagging behind.As the main body of the real economy,the development quality of the manufacturing industry represents the level of productivity of a country,which will directly determine whether the economy can achieve high-quality development.Therefore,the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China clearly put forward the"Adhere to the theme of promoting high-quality development,and strive to promote the economy to achieve effective qualitative improvement and reasonable quantitative growth".Hence,in order to achieve the traditional manufacturing industry into advanced manufacturing industry,it is urgent to promote the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry.High-quality development of the manufacturing industry not only manifests itself in the quantitative growth of the manufacturing industry,but also implies the improvement of the quality of the manufacturing industry,which is the unity of"Amount"and"Quality".Promoting the manufacturing industry to achieve effective improvement in quality and reasonable growth in amount is not only the inherent requirements,but also an important element in promoting the transformation of China from"traditional manufacturing"to"advanced manufacturing".Based on the perspectives of"Amount"and"Quality"of the manufacturing industry,this paper examines the impact of intelligent manufacturing on the high-quality development of the manufacturing and its regional differences from both theoretical and empirical perspectives,and explores the mediating effect of science and technology innovation in this impact,while further exploring the regional heterogeneity of this mediating effect.The results show that:(1)Intelligent manufacturing can promote simultaneously the"Amount and Quality"and thus achieve high-quality development of the manufacturing industry,and the promotion effect of Intelligent manufacturing on the"Amount"is greater than the"Quality".(2)Intelligent manufacturing has contributed to the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry in the east,central and western regions,but there are regional differences in the way it works.In the eastern and western regions,the intelligent manufacturing in enhancing the high-quality development of manufacturing is mainly through promoting simultaneously the"Amount and Quality",while in central region it promotes the reasonable growth the"Amount".(3)There is a partial mediating effect of Scientific and technological innovation in the"Amount"of intelligent manufacturing on manufacturing industry,and the mediating effect is not significant in the"Quality".From the regional perspective,Scientific and technological innovation has a partial mediating effect in the"Amount"in the East and Central regions,a complete mediating effect in the"Quality"in the East,and a non-significant mediating effect in the"Quality"in the Central;and there is a partial mediating effect in the"Quality"in the West,and a non-significant mediating effect in the"Amount".The findings of this paper provide useful insights for promoting the deep integration of artificial intelligence and manufacturing industry,and thus promoting the high-quality development of manufacturing industries.
