Properties of different kinds of magnesium hydroxide commonly used in the market and application in various low-smoke halogen-free flame-retardant polyolefin insulation and sheathing compounds were introduced.And the importance of further research into magnesium hydroxide modification for the future development of low-smoke halogen-free flame-retardant polyolefin cable compounds was pointed out(20 references citied).
