As a fundamental principle of the market economy,fair competition provides a crucial foundation for the efficient operation of market mechanisms.The report to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China(CPC)held in October 2022 states that the CPC will work to"refine the systems underpinning the market economy,such as those for property rights protection,market access,fair competition,and social credibility,in order to improve the business environment."
