旋转机针缝合的碳纤维复合材料力学性能研究

Effect of Needle Operation Mode on Mechanical Properties of Carbon Fiber Stitched Composites

摘要 针对缝合机针在缝合预制体时难以刺入或断针现象,本文模仿电钻打孔机原理,制备一种机头可旋转的缝纫设备,探究机头旋转和非旋转状态下,机针对不同厚度碳纤维缝合复合材料的力学性能影响。结果表明:旋转式机针在缝合25层8mm厚度织物时,因旋转与面内纤维产生摩擦,会加剧破坏复合材料的力学性能;旋转式机针在缝合13层4mm厚度织物时,力学性能有所提高,其中拉伸性能提升显著,拉伸强度比直刺式提高了12.57%,拉伸模量比直刺式提高了10.90%;两种机针运行方式缝合的缝合复合材料破损形貌与失效模式相似,均为纤维束断裂、缝线断裂、基体裂纹拓展与纤维分层,最终整体失效。 In order to solve the problem that sewing machine needle is difficult to pierce or break when sewing preform,this paper imitates the principle of electric drll,and makes a kind of equipment which can rotate sewing machine head,the mechanical properties of stitched carbon fiber composites with different thickness were studied.The results show that the mechanical properties of the composites will be damaged when the rotating needle sews 25 layers of fabric with 8 mm thickness.The mechanical properties of the 13-layer fabric with 4 mm thickness stitched by the rotary needle were improved,especially the tensile properties,the tensile strength and modulus were increased by 12.57% and 10.90%,respectively the failure patterns of the stitched composites were similar to the failure modes,which were fiber bundle fracture,suture fracture,matrix crack propagation and fiber delamination.
